Meet the 2021 180 Initiative Scholarship Recipient:
Andrew “A.J.” Hansen
Every year, the MidwestHR 180 Initiative program offers a scholarship for qualified high school students of our clients’ employees. The recipient must demonstrate strong characteristics of leadership, academic achievement, and involvement in the community through volunteer and extra-curricular activities. Of the candidate pool, one deserving applicant is chosen to receive a monetary award to help fund their college education.
The 180 Initiative Scholarship Committee and the rest of the members of MidwestHR are very happy to announce our 2021 Scholarship winner: Mr. A.J. Hansen.
In high school, A.J. maintained an exceptional academic record while participating in many varied volunteering & leadership development events. He played both volleyball & Soccer during his years at Geneva High School. A.J is a member of the National Honor Society & Spanish National Honor Society – Muy Bueno! The scholarship selection committee was impressed by A.J,’s initiative to create “Sox Box Club.” This club has had the gratification in donating over 1,000 pairs of socks to homeless shelters, after learning how socks are a coveted item.
A.J. will be graduating high school with a weighted GPA average of 3.95. He will begin his college career at University of Illinois, majoring Engineering.
MidwestHR is proud to present A.J. Hansen the 2021 College Scholarship Award and we are excited to see his success in the future. Congratulations to A.J.!
